ICP-AES / ICP-OES
Analysis of (chemical) elements
This is an ICP-AES (or ICP-OES) with an autosampler used for analysis of different elements.
Inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy (ICP-AES), also known as inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy (ICP-OES), is an analytical technique used for elemental analysis (1).
ICP-AES is adopted as a standard technique in regulatory assessments of food and environmental safety. In other words, if our food/environment contain too high levels of hazardous elements (like arsenic, lead, cobalt, etc.) our regulatory bodies would discover it using this technique.
